I bought 6 balsa wood kits from Michaels and had my Studio Art kids make collaborative sculptures from them. We spent about 12 periods on it.

Acrylic Self-Portrait High School Art

These sophomores and 1 junior made these self-portraits with a photograph of themselves and acrylic paint. They worked on it for about 6 periods.

Still-Life Drawing High School Art

I got an idea for teaching how to draw using contour lines. I pasted graph paper onto a cylinder and box and drew grids onto fabric and a sphere so they could see exactly where each contour was. I think it helped.
