My drawing students had to draw their dream house using 2-point perspective. They had aproximately 3 weeks in class only to complete them.

Still-Life Boxes High School Art Drawing
Face Drawing High School Art 2
I did demonstrations drawing each facial feature and had the students draw them on their own, using the proportions that we had measured out previously. Lots of big eyes. I think these turned out much better than the first group.

High School Art Fieldtrip to San Francisco
Sorry for the delay on this. The second week of January this year 14 art students and myself travelled from Los Altos up to San Francisco for the day to see some art. These photos were taken by Rebecca Zucker during the day. We visited The Lab, Clarion Alley, SF MOMA, Catharine Clark Gallery, and all of the 49 Geary Galleries. Favorites of the kids were Olafur Eliasson at SFMOMA and Al Farrow at Catharine Clark. We ate lunch at Blondies Pizza on Powell. A good time was had by most I think.

Proportion Portrait High School Art
For a whole class period, I had the kids measure eachother's faces. For example a measurement from the middle of the eye to the top of the head or bottom of the nose to middle of the mouth. When all of the face measurements were done, I had them contruct a face according to the average of all the facial proportions we had measured. This is what they came up with.
